🌍 Sustainability at the Heart of Every Thread
At Adirelounge, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s our way of life. Our mission is to preserve traditional textile craftsmanship while protecting the planet and empowering people. Here's how we do it:
♻️ Eco-Friendly Dyeing Techniques
We use plant-based and low-impact dyes that are gentle on the environment. Our traditional Adire hand-dyeingprocess consumes less energy and produces minimal waste compared to industrial dyeing methods.
🧵 Slow Fashion, Thoughtfully Made
Each piece is made-to-order or in small batches, honoring the slow fashion philosophy. This minimizes overproduction and ensures that every product is cherished, not discarded.
👩🏾🎨 Empowering Women Artisans
We work with local women artisans to create our textiles, providing skill-building, fair wages, and economic independence. Each piece tells a story — of hands, heritage, and hope.
🌾 100% Homegrown Cotton & Natural Blends
We source locally grown cotton and use natural cotton blends, supporting ethical farming while reducing transportation emissions. Our textiles are breathable, and kinder to the earth.
🌱 Low-Waste & Plastic-Free Packaging
Our packaging is plastic-free, recyclable, or compostable. We keep our footprint light from production to delivery — because sustainability doesn’t stop at the product.
📸 Transparent Impact Tracking
We’re building a platform that lets our customers see the real impact of their purchases — from water saved and CO₂ reduced to worker welfare and craft preservation.
✨ Preserving Culture, Protecting the Earth
Adirelounge is where African heritage meets ethical innovation. Every fabric carries history, every dye pot holds tradition, and every stitch leads to a more sustainable future.

African Chop House

In West Africa, a chop bar is a roadside bar/restaurant that serves as a meeting place for the community. It brings people together through food and music to exchange information, ideas and connect with each other.
African Chop House was inspired by the sounds, smells, and visuals that surrounded us growing up in African homes. As we got older, we realized we weren’t the only ones longing for these reminders of our culture.
Come Chop is a pidgin expression inviting friends and family to come eat. it has become the call to action for African Chop House.

ARTNOIR
New York City, USA
ARTNOIR started as a group of friends organizing "field trips" to museums, galleries and art fairs around the globe. In it, we discovered the power of numbers, and friendship, to make traditionally exclusive art world spaces feel colorful, inclusive and welcoming. We also discovered a passion for ensuring that the next generation of Black and Brown creators, curators, and collectors are connected in community, and contributing to each other's success. Today, ARTNOIR is a female-majority and black + brown owned, NYC based global collective and 501(c)(3) with a mission to celebrate and highlight the work of creatives of color while catalyzing cultural equity across the arts and culture industries. We seek to empower artists, enthusiasts, curators, forward thinking organizations, storytellers, designers and patrons, to explore alternative perspectives to the traditional arts narrative, while leveraging the intersectionality of art and culture to develop new access points for discussion, exploration and collaboration.

London, United Kingdom
CDR is a Black-led, community-first music and education organisation rooted in the UK’s grassroots electronic music scene.
Founded in 2002, CDR began as a simple idea: create a space where producers could share unfinished work on a proper sound system, in front of a room of peers, without hierarchy or gatekeeping. What started as a monthly session in London quickly became something more: a community built around experimentation, shared learning and collective growth.
Today, CDR supports thousands of music-makers across the UK and beyond through sessions, youth programmes, mentoring and artist development. While our formats have evolved, our core remains the same::
● Openness over exclusivity
● Process over polish
● Learning by doing
● Community over competition

Deroche Projects
DeRoche Projects is an Accra-based architecture and design practice working globally to create innovative, community driven spaces. Founded and led by Glenn DeRoche, who brings over 15 years of experience delivering major cultural, civic, and commercial projects, the studio delivers work across various scales: from buildings to objects.
Our work thrives within productive tensions: digital explorations of form meet hands-on making, high-tech precision intersects low-tech ingenuity, and contemporary construction practices meets indigenous building traditions. These complementary forces shape a methodology inherently planet-positive, future-forward, and deeply connected to the layers of place and time.
Sustainability isn’t approached as a checklist; it’s deeply embedded in our design process. Our projects don’t just minimize environmental impact, they actively foster ecological and social resilience through regenerative materials, passive design strategies, and resource-conscious construction methods.
Public-facing projects and community hubs form the core of our portfolio. We approach these projects through the lens of deep time – recognizing architecture as part of a continuum, carrying ancestral knowledge, artisanal techniques, and collective memory forward. Buildings outlast their creators; their endurance depends on the communities that care for them. Stewardship is integral from inception, guiding material selection, construction methods, and forming spaces that actively invite participation.
This ethos shapes not only who we build with but how our spaces empower communities – by employing and upskilling local craftspeople, celebrating cultural heritage, and fostering social connection and inclusivity.
Notable projects and collaborations include Backyard Community Club, a tennis training facility and community hub in Accra; dot.ateliers | Ogbojo Residency, a residency for writers and curators in Accra, named Architect’s Newspaper’s Editor’s Pick in the 2024 Best in Design Awards; exhibition design for Amoako Boafo’s I Do Not Come To You By Chance at Gagosian Mayfair gallery in London; It Doesn’t Have to Always Make Sense at Palazzo Grimani in Venice; Amoako Boafo: I Bring Home with Me at Roberts Projects in LA; The Nsaa Pavilion at Wooyang Art Museum in Gyeongju; The Volta Pavilion, exhibited at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna; and The Surf Ghana Collective, exhibited at the 2022 Venice Architecture Biennale and awarded a 2023 Holcim Gold Award for Sustainable Construction, recognized by the jury as “an innovative project that creates a dynamic community space, empowering youth and promoting responsible tourism through a cooperative approach”.
DeRoche Projects has received international recognition through the Monocle Design Award 2026, and The Africa International Design Awards 2026 for Best Public Architecture, and was a finalist at the AR Emerging Awards – an international prize established by The Architectural Review “ to grant early recognition to young designers and celebrate the architectural stars of tomorrow.”

Ɛdan Spatial Studios
Accra, Ghana
Ɛdan, drawn from the Akan word for "home" and the Scottish Gaelic for "little fire", was conceptualised by Carina Tenewaa Kanbi in 2022 to create equitable, community-led creative spaces that shape the city. It aims to address the gap in affordable spaces for making within the creative and craft sectors, while contributing to the building of more equitable African cities.
The design laboratory promotes spatial justice and empowers communities by using arts practice as instruments for free expression and city-making. Through its hybrid distributed production model in Accra, Ɛdan fosters creative imagination and production, creating a bottom-up community under a single structure. This model allows for collective research, experimentation, and dialogue around how just and inclusive cities are lived and can be built.
Alongside providing a platform for technical innovation and cross-pollination by celebrating and archiving indigenous Ghanaian craft practices, Ɛdan uses creative methodologies to gather data, stories, and knowledge from the ground up. By integrating research, practice, and the arts, it supports ways of reading the city through the lived experiences of communities and craftspeople, offering alternative insights to inform more inclusive urban development.
Its core mission is to promote positive change by combining technology, creativity, and community engagement to support the building of a creative city that is accessible to all. Ɛdan provides individuals and organisations with access to resources, expertise, and tools, while cultivating African and international networks of like-minded practitioners, researchers, and thinkers. Central to this vision is a commitment to centring women within these processes of change.
At its heart, Ɛdan is a creative laboratory that recognises the interdependence between the city and creative practice, using making, research, and collaboration as a means to imagine and shape alternative urban futures.

In Our Name
London, United Kingdom
In Our Name was created in 2022, from a belief that what we wear holds meaning - not only in how it looks, but in the human stories behind it.
Every garment makes a long geographical and human journey, long before it reaches your wardrobe. There are hands that draw, cut, sew and pack, and places filled with rhythm, conversation and craft. We refer to our ranges as The Human Edit, it is our way of honouring those layers and bringing fashion back to what truly matters: people, purpose and connection.

ISE-DA
New York City, USA
ISE-DA®(pronounced: e-sheh-da)
Founded in 2020, ISE-DA® is a mission-driven, international art advisory dedicated to advancing the cultural stewardship of Black contemporary art. Through bespoke advisory services for collectors and institutions, field research, and strategic initiatives, we build the infrastructure and guide Black collectors across the diaspora to acquire, steward, and sustain Black post-war and contemporary art at scale.
ISE-DA® develops collectors who operate as market actors and cultural stewards simultaneously — acquiring strategically and building collections with long-term significance for both personal legacy and the broader ecosystem of Black artistic production. We work with collectors across experience levels, from those entering the market for the first time to established collectors expanding into diaspora geographies. Our practice centres Black cultural production as both an artistic and economic force — generating market activity that sustains Black artists, Black galleries, and Black cultural institutions across the diaspora.
ISE-DA®️ challenges extractive and exclusionary models of art collecting by developing values-based, research-driven practice grounded in cultural stewardship rather than speculation. Through international field research, cross-diasporic programming, and site-responsive initiatives, we position Black art not only as an asset but as a living infrastructure — one that connects collectors, artists, and institutions across the African diaspora into a sustained ecosystem of patronage and production.
ISE-DA's collectors have acquired significant works by Black and diasporic artists across our international programs, including during Temperature Check São Paulo during the 36th Bienal de São Paulo.

She had a rare ability to see patterns before they became obvious - the kind of foresight that let her read situations and moments with clarity most people only recognized in hindsight. That's what Studio Hamida does.
We help brands see cultural shifts happening now, before they show up in trend decks. We turn those insights into partnerships that feel inevitable rather than forced - the kind people remember because they actually meant something.

Studio Sovereign
London, UK
Studio Sovereign is a thought studio and creative consultancy led by curator and writer Péjú Oshin, working across art, design and culture. The studio develops curatorial direction, cultural strategy and creative partnerships that connect artists, institutions, brands and the public.
At its core, Studio Sovereign is concerned with the art of making: ideas, objects, programmes and cultural frameworks. Guided by a belief in culture as both method and material, the studio builds projects that honour heritage while opening space for new narratives, global dialogue and future-facing forms of production.
The practice spans curation, writing, research, artist and collector consultation, mentoring, public programmes and public art, alongside exploratory making and design-led work. This intentionally expansive approach allows strategic thinking and creative production to inform one another, positioning culture not only as a reflection, but as a tool for shaping meaning, value and impact.
With over a decade of experience across museums, galleries and global cultural contexts, Studio Sovereign combines academic rigour with contemporary vision by thinking, making and shaping culture through work that is grounded, intentional and resonant.

WAA Studio GH is a Ghana based design and media house working at the forefront of African textile preservation, research and contemporary design. Rooted in the belief that textiles are living records of history, identity and cultural knowledge, our work explores the enduring legacy of Ghanaian textiles and weaving traditions.
Forms rich in symbolism yet increasingly under-documented.
Through our growing archive, we preserve and present heritage textiles as tools for research, education and cultural continuity, ensuring these traditions are not only safeguarded, but studied, valued and carried forward.
Alongside our archival work, we collaborate with master artisans across Ghana to sustain traditional practices while exploring how these techniques can evolve within contemporary contexts.
Our design practice reimagines heritage through an eco-conscious lens, transforming discarded and existing materials into considered pieces that bridge past and present.
Through film, photography and storytelling, WAA Studio GH extends this work beyond the object building a living archive of Ghanaian craft, memory and design.
We exist to preserve, document, and reimagine African textiles for future generations.
